The Crown Crystal Glass Company was formed under the umbrella company Australian Glass Manufacturers (AGM), when AGM’s Crown Glass Limited acquired The Crystal Glass Company Limited. Glassware from these companies has been collectable for 30 years or so prompted by the publication of historian Marjorie Graham’s book Australian Glass of the 19th and early 20th Century. There is very little comprehensive information about the wares published and significant gaps in public knowledge, particularly around the war years. The intention of this website is to help plug some of those gaps and to explore some of the controversies.
